Software Development Test Engineer

Location: 15 Terry Drive, Newtown, PA 18940

Summary

As part of the software development team at Teletronics Technology Corporation (www.TTCDAS.com), you will work to deliver real-time data acquisition, analysis and distribution systems in support of aerospace launch/flight ranges and test applications. Supporting NASA, Commercial/Military Aircraft manufacturers and the DOD vehicle development programs (aircraft, UAV/UGV, launch vehicles, satellites), TTC ground station system software (GS3) provides our users with a high reliable safety critical data acquisition, processing, and archival test tool to rapidly analyze and troubleshoot units under test in real time or post mission analysis. Our ideal candidate will be a quick learner, go-getter who has the ability to multi task across many different applications, and an individual comfortable with managing

Major Duties

  • Be part of the software team; participate in the development cycle & final acceptance before public release
  • Participate and lead Release/Iteration planning, smoke, feature and regression test planning
  • Write test documentation without formal written requirements
  • Setting up test environments as required to include hardware or simulator setup and use of Data Acquisition Systems, Recorders, and network based data transfer (stream oriented) systems
  • Preparing Test Plans/Requirements for Integration Tests and UI tests as needed
  • Execute manual & automation smoke, feature & regression tests
  • Enter detailed problem reports into JIRA bug tracking database and follow issues through to closure
  • Aide developers with analysis of errors, research of software components/code (when feasible) and properly documenting the symptoms
  • Good understand Bit Bucket/Source Tree and Git
  • Review customer acceptance criteria and look for functional gaps
  • Check the Help/User Manual inputs are updated correctly and usable
  • Desired experience testing real time application software in an aerospace environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Software, Computer or Electrical engineering from an accredited 4 year college or university
  • At Least 1 year experience in QA Test, Software Development or performing test engineering activities
  • Understand networking, particularly system integration of physical/virtual servers with routers/switches and firewalls in current data center environments. (Wire shark, Network monitoring etc)
  • Knowledge of the aerospace test environment a plus. AS9100 quality standard
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Software, Computer or Electrical engineering from an accredited 4 year college or university
  • At Least 1 year experience in QA Test, Software Development or performing test engineering activities
